Why Martha?

Much like Martha, we believe every woman’s story is far more than a narrative of "disqualifying" moments and character defects. The overall 'historic view' of Martha paints a much broader account than the “Don’t be a Martha, be a Mary” sound-bite we’ve often been taught. 

Both historians and theologians alike reveal Martha as a woman of great faith, knowing that Jesus could have in fact healed Lazarus (previous to her belief that He was too late) and a woman of extreme generosity who continually opened her home to Jesus and his disciples. 

Join us as we Build the House of Martha from the inside out. “A place that Jesus loved to spend His time.” 

Though works in progress, we are Women on Assignment, trusting our Father to finish the work He started by “resting” in His complete redemptive power made available to us by the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
